Can't agree anymore, the brick colors are horrible, completely not align with the what they said on the rendering, that brown color downgrade the appealing of the buildingI don’t mind the tower and I like the shape of the balconies. For me the issue is the cheap looking brown podium. It looks very low quality and that brown color isn’t doing it any favours.
They think they are saving money, but many of us will make a mental note that Alterra builds junk and I would not consider them for my next Pre-construction purchase.Honestly, builders should be put on a blacklist for stuff like this. It's one thing to take a chance on a design and miss, but this? They they cheaped out every inch. The rental a block up looks better than this.
Someone asked this question to the developer on Instagram. They said the city asked them to use this colour to match the surrounding historical building… I guess we should blame the city.Honestly, builders should be put on a blacklist for stuff like this. I'd say blame them both. Blame the city for the ugly brown colour, and Alterra for making the entire thing a cheap-looking, jumbled mess. There's probably a way they could have worked with the city's colour requirement (although I would prefer they'd been able to use the colour they planned as the renderings looked promising), and made it work. Instead they awkwardly slapped it onto a design that made no sense for it.Someone asked this question to the developer on Instagram.
