If only there was any effort to avoid the blandness at the ground level, like incorporating brick and other natural materials, it would have made a world of difference. The podium levels definitely impact the pedestrian experience moreso than the towers above.

Funny that one of the best 'pedestrian experiences' is provided by the small, messy, retail at one of the worst buildings, Infinity.

What a weird shade of green glass sameness.

I agree, The South really lacks the soul of an inner city core with mix bricks, stones, and anything other than Glass building.
Its also lacks design variety; all I see is Grey-Green boxes with no aesthetics to them

Oh really? Please sir speak on the many world class cities you’ve been to that had an abundance of green/blue/green glass boxes with hardly any variation in design or colour. I can’t wait to read your response.

Despite brick being a widely used material in architectural design during that era, buildings were decorated with it in a myriad of creative ways.

I'm not sure why you and many other UT users seem to be under the impression that other large cities around the world all have amazing architecture, and that they wouldn't dare ever build something with "green-blue glass". Most buildings built in other cities around the world are not masterpieces of architecture, despite what you seem to think. Just reminds me how Toronto gets insulted at every turn, but I guess the grass really is greener on the other side.
