Since this is a commercial building, I think they'll have more incentive to maintain the light feature. Tenants won't be happy to have a space in a tower with half on - half-off light feature. Especially in the next few years, when the office rental market is likely to be soft. Unless it's fully tenanted by TD and the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan?

Oh well, there goes the incentive. I’m sure TD wouldn’t be bothered with a little thing like blown out lights when they have bigger worries like the money laundering scandal of their American operations.

TD spends a lot of money on branding. Banks still seem to like to associate themselves with landmark buildings. I think it'll be well maintained.
