They are still predicting a street to run thru McCowan Yard. TTC has stated they want to hang onto McCowan Yard and transform it into something else. I’d like to see them build an office tower here and consolidate all management offices here and get rid of other lands/leases they have around the city.

Its extremely unlikely that the TTC would consolidate HQ in the far eastern burbs.

That would cause retention issues w/staff.

The TTC have a list of possible relocations under consideration, to my knowledge, this is not one of them,

That’s really to bad. Right on the subway line and easy access to the 401.

The sites the TTC is considering right now are more centrally located within the city. While yes, an office at the McCowan yard would have easy access to the subway, the other sites they are looking into are better connected. While it would be nice to bring more office workers to Scarborough Centre to create a lively atmosphere during the day, if staff need to perform a site visit or meet/ engage with other parties or agencies, an office this far away from the core may not be ideal. The TTC really needs to consolidate their offices but I don't think they are looking to construct a new building, but repurpose another city facility for their operations.
