Across the street from Shoppers World, on the northeast corner of Main and Bartley Bull, is another 25-storey highrise development proposal:

The building is currently a sushi restaurant, but was built as a Wendy's.

No updates on the Shoppers World development right now, but this is one of several other proposed or under-construction projects in or around the site.

150 one bedrooms, 88 two bedrooms, 4 three bedroom townhouse units facing Main Street.

City planning staff had concerns that there was no retail at the base, especially at a major intersection and a gateway entrance to the Etobicoke Creek ravine system.

A revised version of this project is headed to the Planning & Development meeting for October 23rd. Changes include it being 29 storeys (was 25), 330 units (was 242), and includes ground floor commercial instead of townhouses (which the Planning department justly insisted on). Other notable changes include far less resident parking (cut from 192 to 112, and with the increase in units, the ratio goes from 0.79 to 0.34), and a decent amount more visitor parking (53 v 39).
