…so it appears that Council's appearance at the LPAT to oppose this was not successful.
From the cover letter:

"A settlement was reached between the City, the former owner of the Site, and the Markland Wood Homeowners Association (the “Homeowners”), which settlement was endorsed by the LPAT on March 26, 2020."

Our new front page story details what's going on here now that Carttera owns the site. Database file now live and attached at the top of the page too.

Something has started onsite, but it's right at the corner of Bloor and Markland, so I'm not 100% that this is for the new building, or maybe just staging or temp parking area:

I'll have to look into that…

The only update in the database is the overall parking count reduced from 431 parking to 407 parking.

The last time I shot the site was in 2011 and only taken 12 years to get construction started on it. Could be another 10 floors taller and will add a few more riders for TTC route 49 or when Mississauga takes over TTC route. Mississauga was to have taken over 49 last year and guess TTC not willing to cover the blood bath that Mississauga will see doing it with out support from TTC.

It has been over 4 months since the last post in this thread, and as I was passing by on a MiWay bus today, I took this photo:

2 more floors to go and shot it a few days ago. Photos will follow once I get caught up for my backlog going back to Aug 16 at this time and over 2,000 of them.

Those cranes will be gone before the end of the year and join the list of over 25 cranes that are being removed by year end with only 3 going up for projects I follow.
