The fog combined with the dimming lighting conditions due to the sun setting made for some interesting plays here with contrast and form.

I find it amazing that this proposal is only for 31 & 25 storeys on such a large footprint when developments at Yonge & Woodlawn are proposed at over 50 storeys. I know there are many examples of this kind of dichotomy. Makes me wonder what kind of influence city planning has on shaping "logical" density/building height.

New Park at 2400 Yonge Street​

A new 1,232 m2 park (about the size of five tennis courts) is coming to 2400 Yonge St. as a result of a mixed-use development project at Roselawn Avenue. The park design will be determined through community engagement.

Another new park is coming to 20 Castlefield Ave., just a few blocks away from this one. Visit its project page to learn more and get involved.

Project Timeline​

• Summer 2024 to Winter 2025: Community engagement
• Winter to Fall 2025: Detailed design
• Winter 2026: Hire a construction team
• Winter/Spring 2026: Construction starts
• Summer 2027: Construction complete

Today. I'm posting this reverse chronologically, my second last post is a drawing

I drew this back in May of 2022, I'm surprised by how accurate my rendering of the crane turned out to be. I rendered the old town hall that was at the corner of Yonge and Broadway, sort of a past to future view of the area.
