This rendering is best described as fake news.

It will be flat panels. It will be window wall. There will be spandrel. It won't be pretty.

Any news on this one? Just curious if we will see something 150m+ here :)
Very timely question! This was appealed to the LPAT owing to the City's lack of a decision within the prescribed time… and in fact the hearing commenced via video conference this Monday. Not sure if this one will take a week or more of evidence, but even if it takes two weeks to hear, it's typical for the LPAT to take months to come to and release a decision. Not sure how many months is the average, exactly, but maybe six months? It can take over a year…

In any case, we usually don't miss the release of decisions from the LPAT, they normally get posted when new, but if there's no news by the Fall, ask again to refresh this thread!

Thanks Interchange.

Really looking forward to see taller buildings here. Hopefully, this one will not have a big hight reduction after the LPAT

More than anything here, besides the new building, I'm looking forward to a new pedestrian tunnel under the tracks here to the future redevelopment that occurs on the Islington Station site and the to the subway station itself!

Hey @interchange42 ,
Just to check if there is any movement on this one?
With all the planned development in the area, is a new Etobicoke mini path in the pipeline, to better integrate both sides of the tracks?
Thanks!

There was a hearing in mid-April via video that was expected to take two weeks, with no settlement leading up to it. No decision has been announced yet.

This development site has been placed for sale:

The OLT decision is now posted.

They allowed the development substantially as proposed.

From the decision:

Suggested covenant in purchase agreement: new development must look at least as elegant as rendered so far.

An individual unit buyer, would never get that out of a major developer (as you know)....

But I'd be amused if some of the professional investors, pre-construction bulk buyers tried something like that.

If you get 3 or more 10+ unit purchasers on a site insisting on some type of clause......

Meh, it will probably still get shot down, but it's a nice thought.

If I was paying for a parking spot as part of my lease, I too would be pretty pissed that it was being revoked without any alternative accommodations.

good drone footage , i wonder how many parking spots will be lost in that rental building , I would be pissed if I had no place to park.... , i wonder what legal rights do the tenants have in this case
