Note that 290 is a narrow parcel, and assembly of adjacent parcels would be needed for redevelopment:

I wouldn't miss 290, 288 and 282. Those three together look to be about the right size for a 27 floor tower. Things are really kicking off lately on King West. Nice to finally see it.

What about the Casbah? The building itself doesn’t scream heritage to me but it would be a shame if the establishment had to relocate. 306 King/14 Queen.

I'm sure the owner of the Casbah is itching to sell that lot to a condo developer. Realistically talks have probably already happened. Way too lucrative of a street corner.

I also love Ark & Anchor so I hope that's staying even if it's not the best possible use of the space. Their upper floor is such a hidden gem.

An interesting one for sure, will see I we can find out who is behind it or is a pipe dream

One lot i've always been curious about is 263 King West (the city owned parking lot at the corner of Hess and King). Seems like a perfect place for a mid-rise condo development. Why doesn't the city sell the lot to a developer with an agreed upon timeline. Surely a bunch of condo units would generate a heck of a lot more revenue than a surface parking lot. The location would be absolutely perfect, and i'm sure any developer would be very happy to take it off their hands.

So I've heard this proposal includes 280 King St W (G. Ingraudo Chartered Accountant) to 306 King St W (La Luna/Casbah).

The developer doesn't own all properties yet, and is still in talks to purchase, hoping to close up by beginning of next year. Likely nothing to be built until 2025.

Wow the potential canyon of towers keep growing west! I love to hear it. Hopefully we don't lose Empire Burger permanently though I love that place.
