This 11.6 acre plaza site in Vaughan on the north side of Rutherford Rd betweem Sweetriver and Canada's Wonderland Blvd has been pruchased for multi-use redevelopment by Elad Canada, KIN Capital Partners, and Mivtach Shamir Holdings Ltd. There will be a sizeable affordable housing component.

It’s a cursed plaza. The anchor has changed 3 times already, and the rest of the units are mostly services because retail never survives.

Vaughan is only 273 sq km so it's pretty compact. I think they can create some bike infrastructure at least.

Cute that they've decided on their own that there'd be a VIVA BRT on Rutherford.

-3000 new residents in that area (one that really isn't conducive to doing anything without a car) is, wow!
