This proposed site definitely looks far better than what is currently there, start the project already. It is an overall win to the entire area. There should not be an auto body shop across the street from houses. It looks terrible in its current state, I live in this area.

Personally i'd rather the auto body shop then the current dreck that's proposed. Once this is built there's no going back.

I mostly agree with both of you. I think it is worth building as it is a decent massing and better use for the site. But there is no doubt that Amare is right that this design is pretty awful dreck. On balance, I'll take it, but I would prefer if they could just delete their .cad files and start fresh.
 
It's going to be a tight fit. Seems like there is already a street parking problem with the townhomes just west of the site. First pic is sort of a context shot. Not sure if the plan involves both low rise buildings in the lower right or if it is just the one immediately beside the newer development.

New renderings are updated in the database. There are many changes in the project information. The total unit count increased from 123 units to 131 units. The total building height increased from 37.37m to 38.17m. The total parking count increased from 98 parking spaces to 99 parking spaces. Finally, the overall storey count remains the same at 10 storeys.
