Deja vu, demolition v2.0 this lowes building is only 11 years old.

Original Labatts brewery built in 1970. Closed in Nov 2005 and demolished in 2007.
Lowes was constructed in 2012, opened early 2013 and closed Jan 2020, demolished now 2023.

No pics but the substation on the north side of the site is currently under construction, also looks like hydro one is running a power line from rexdale all the way over east and then south across the 401 to get power to the facility, Rexdale and Islington and some side streets are currently under construction for trenching of the power lines.

That map shows the new streets that have been constructed south of of Rexdale Blvd., but still has the old configuration of the Rexdale/Islington intersection.

Anyways, thanks for sharing this, it's good to know why my neighbourhood has been torn apart for the past month.
