It's a slow moving nightmare to watch this being torn down every day. Not necessarily because the prior structure was any kind of architectural wonder, but because the incoming project will be pretty ugly as rendered...and even if the design is changed, I don't hold faith in Madison to do a good job here.

As of now, this is a huge hole in the streetwall, and the prior building, though seldom used in the last ten years, still had good bones for commercial property and businesses.

It still looks better than 95% of the slop around Yonge + Eg in my opinion
 
not sure if this has been discussed before (cant seem to find anything buried in the thread) but the same group that owns 50,90 Yonge and 390 Duplex also bought out the entire section of houses from 17-41 Henning Avenue with the last lot closing in Jan 2025.

Quite the holding in Yonge and Eglinton
