There really are fantastic rows of 'Victorian' storefronts lining Ymge Street. They are a treasure.
How the city allowed them to be defaced with aluminum sidings, hideous signs, etc showed the lack of civic pride prevalent in the past 8 decades or so. Luckily that seems to be changing, although we’ll have to live with the desecration for at least a decade or two more, until all of them are redeveloped (with at least partial preservation/ restoration of the heritage buildings).

Perhaps it's an architectural desecration, but on the other hand that warm cadmium yellow sure pops. Would love to see more solid hits of colour like that around the core.
