This one is all in the details - expect something similar to Aquabella from the same architect.

If you look closely you can see the copper coloured mullions on the ground floor curtain wall. The same colour will be heavily featured on the tower as well (window frames, balcony guards, wall panels) which will look beautiful with the limestone finish panels.

This one is big, but I would not say it has a cold palette

Agree but what's the solution? 88 Bathurst isn't going anywhere so The Wheat Sheaf needs to get taller.

It won't stay immune to alteration forever. A future treatment similar to Dineen Coffee (Yonge/Temperence) would be ideal: 1-2 additional floors that's respectful of the architecture. It would give the Wheat Sheaf a little more presence and height and could help it tie in with 88 Bathurst in a more cohesive way. The only other decent option is something cantilevered over the Wheat Sheaf from a future development on the lot to its west.

I'd be pleased enough if you were correct on the palette; though I'd prefer to see more brick and less glazing here. But massing of the street wall and its relationship to the Wheat Sheaf just do not work for me either way.

Those token operable windows on the 2nd and 3rd floor stands out like a sore thumb, especially the shorter, wider ones towards the north and south corners of the building (curtain wall would have solved that issue). I’m looking forward to seeing the metal panels covering the thin spandrel and slab edge sections.
