I didn't realize how junky that building where the Starbucks used to be is. I'm also somewhat surprised the ground floor hasn't been re-leased.
 
Just noticed the crane for the first time. Haven't really been on my balcony until just recently.

It's not being re-leased. Starbuck's is sticking around.

I'm pretty sure the building was unsafe and they have to do a good bit of work to fix things.

I'm pretty sure the building was unsafe and they have to do a good bit of work to fix things.
Yes, there was a City notice posted saying that a major wooden beam was compromised and had to be replaced. Not sure if this was due to fire or only found when they were starting repairs. The Starbucks at King & George has, apparently, moved to 251 King, corner Sherbourne and will not reopen in this spot. This is one of the oldest surviving buildings in Toronto so I hope it gets fixed properly.

My understanding is that they're keeping both sites.
