What fantastic current view are they going to lose?
I suppose if the condo going in next door is just a wall of washrooms or anything that does not require a window. (locker rooms etc) it will be okay, but if there are balconies, etc I would hate to have the view of someone else's suite, myself.

I find the final product a bit too busy, but I tip my hat to the architects for going for the masonry look instead of the typical glass + spandrel.
 
By that logic, why should anyone else deal with seeing your suite/building?
I think that's the point. What I am learning fast and quick is, invest in a condo with a view of a grave yard so nobody can look into my place and my balcony view will never be blocked.

Across the street from this is Monza which if you have a south facing unit will have fantastic views which won't ever be disrupted.
