Man, this is incredible. I'm honestly stoked to see Mississauga getting a flood of new condo and apartment developments, especially in these big empty lots so close to downtown. It'll be cool if we can see some real renderings soon.

That park will always be in shadow. City will likely redistribute density to allow sunlight into the park, would be horrible planning not to do so. Also wow, that's a pretty ambitous ask.

Could we get some 2 level office space maybe? That would be nice. Medical suites, etc.
Site plan just doesn't work.

Transit is right there so I don't see why it wouldn't work.

February 2020 resubmission can be found here: http://www.mississauga.ca/portal/residents/development-applications

Designed by DIALOG. Site has been revised. 2 parks instead of 1. There are still 6 towers, but heights have been lowered: 19, 24, 25, 35, 35, and 37 storeys.

Public park placement is still a problem.

1) Primary park located north and east of towers will not get any sun from the south or west; not that pleasant for park users or for most tree and flower species.

2) Better off with a consolidated park of 1.1 acres (assuming that complies w/statutory requirements), it creates more usable space to do something good with than maxing out at 0.8 acres.

Park should shifted, where depends on what's likely to be built neighbouring sites, and that should be addressed at the same time.

Remember than Mistersauga is on a grid that is turned something like 46 or 47° from true north, so in fact north-south streets in Mississauga run southeast to northwest, and are actually closer to heading west than north. More sun will hit those parks because of that, than they would it they were in Toronto, which is only 16-17° off of north.
