I was told that the towers will have alternating colors on special days of the year. I.e. canada day Red, St.patricks day Green, Valentine's day red and white etc.. great idea and visual ......

Saw this on Monday night coming home. The colors were slowly fading through some blue-teal-violet shades, water-like in a way. It almost looks internally illuminated through frosted glass, though we know that's not the case. It think it would be easily visible from downtown or across the lake.

Whoever did the install needs to make a return trip to fix the aiming of some of the fixtures, though. Even in the pic above, if you look about 10 panels from the left, you can see how that fixture is aimed to high and there is a darker area near the bottom. This happens all the way around both towers and detracts from the otherwise really nice light feature.

More shots, though not with a great camera (my phone) and not from great angles, looking from the parking gates. Will try to get better ones from more distant angles later, or over the weekend.

Spectacular photo Jasonzed. I hope you don't mind that I shared that on facebook (with full credit to you).

Also interesting is that you can see how Burnhamthorpe's street lighting is the newer cool white LED type, compared to the orangey sodium lighting on other major streets.

Great photo Jasonzed! Putting the Phantom to good use :D

Article about that very subject:

Honestly for small / narrow residential I like the yellow lights better ! A more warm feeling.

While the warm temperature is more soothing, the new white LEDs are almost superior in every way. More accurate colour, brighter with less light pollution, lower power use, less maintenance etc. I think people will get used to them in due time and the old yellow lights will be forgotten. Flying into Pearson at night is amazing, seeing all the residential streets in white and the main roads in the old yellow.

The south end of the retail area will see a 2 floor dental office and there goes the original plan down the drain.
