I have a feeling that Church st will be very different in a few years, but it will not be that much better. Those new highrises will make that section of Church similar to the Bay st condor corridor. My only hope is that the influx of new residents will encourage more interesting retail nearby (but not at the base of those condos, and hopefully not just on Yonge).

Taken from a dirty window, unfortunately.

Looking forward to seeing aA and Tridel here. Could be a very, very nice building with the two working together. Hopefully it bodes well for future projects with the two, such as the Well.

We had the height of this building wrong in the dataBase file, 118 metres instead of 108, or 354 feet. It's been corrected now, and in the thread title.

Meanwhile, we have a front page story update on the building!

It used to read 118. It now correctly reads 108.

One of my favourite modernist tropes - exposed pilotis or columns that drop out the bottom of a building. It is such a nice way to visually elevate a tower above a podium.
