100%, I completely agree, definitely a detail that has me scratching my head. Maybe they decided the dark grey was too much of a contrast with the white trim? On the bright side, the cladding looks very minimal and sharp looking. I imagine 3XN will be all over the execution on this once since it is their first building in North America (with quite a few down the pipe in the coming years).

The pool on the 7th floor is being formed. After this floor we'll start to see the stepped pattern form the two 'peaks'.
