What an absolute turd. Times this by 7, over at The Ravine site. Same architect, similar designs. The views, however, are among the best in the city and they will change dramatically in the next 5-10 years with the midtown skyline to the right, as well as the Don Mills and downtown skylines. It's nice to see One Bloor East from this perspective. It's basically the same height as the Four Seasons now. Can't wait to see The One from a similar vantage point.

If spandrel was banned. What would Tridel do? Close up shop?

Pretty much. Driving by the Alto development by Tridel on Sheppard, I can already see their patented white precast going up. It's only a matter of time they start installing their world famous spandrel that they use on every other one of their developments. Argento, Aristo, Avani, Alto, 101 Erskine, Islington Terrace - the list goes on ... all garbage.

Indeed. You can already see the Madison rising in Midtown. Now imagine both E Condos towers, 1 Eglinton East, the two Redpath towers, 2221 Yonge, The Eglinton and 55 Eglinton East.

There are many more than just those, but those are the tallest.

I know. I'm really excited to watch the transformation. The westward terminating view from my street is perfectly in line with Yonge & Eglinton, so I'll be able to step out my front door and see all the change.

My cousin lives right near the end of Soudan (by Yonge St). He's going to have a heck of a view of all this progress.

Argento's roof would also offer an excellent view of that Bjarke Ingels tower that was proposed for Shops At Don Mills (I hope that project is just on the back burner and not completely dead).

I thought we were done with towers in a park.

In fact, Argento is built on land that was the "park" for another tower. I suppose that the new building could have been built right up to the sidewalks, but look at the trees that would have destroyed. Yes, this is still 20th century suburban form here, but it is also a major intensification of the site.

I don't see a real need to build right up to Don Mills along this stretch, especially with the grades here. Besides, there are townhouses being built that front right up to Graydon Hall.

All that I can say is, for a squandrel building, this is one of the best looking squandrel clad ones that I have seen. And it resembles almost exactly the renders, also a rarity.
