It was really cool last night when it was really foggy. It felt like the fog was lighting up.

I can see the lights when I'm sitting on my couch - they aren't that distracting - I've pretty much tuned them out

Just to be clear, these are older photos right? The first photo was a panel being put up on the south side or are they also doing the north side?
Re: the second photo, it shows that the screen could be illuminated from one edge to the other, in the 16:9 format I mentioned a page or two back if the Samsung logo wasn't there.

The whole screen does light up when the Samsung logo isn't displayed. The image is not static, it's a video.

That photo was taken 16 May 2014, just yesterday. I took it to show the other side of the tower without the screen; how the circular boards were retained from the previous tower.

Thanks for the info. guys.
The last couple of nights it doesn't seem quite as bright. Maybe the panels have burned in a bit or they've cut the brightness?

Are they going to extend the gap between media screen and other led billboards..?

Refreshingly, Samsung has decided to do something a little different with the new billboard. It's now interactive in the sense that you can hashtag #samsungselfie and @samsungcanada on an instagram photo and potentially have it displayed on screen.

The static signs below the new video screen just, don't, cut-it.

True, but Dundas Square will be in an evolutionary path for quite a few years to come. I doubt this latest expansion will be the end of it all. What we get 5-10 years from now might be amp'ed up considerably from what we have now. A giant curved video screen? Installation of the Sam the Record Man sign? There could be lots more on its way.

It seems you can't give it to people all at once or their brains explode. You have to get from A to Z in lots of mini steps along the way.

All these signs tend to make Councillor's heads explode too! I would agree though, it will indeed evolve over time.
