The danger with teh terrace will be that light furniture may in fact come off higher balconies depending on his it is stored. Aura will be no different in that regard.

Except that, as Traynor has mentioned, Aura will not have balconies above the terraces.

They just push all the crap down the space between the slab and the railing. (Admit it... You know you do it too).

I wouldn't dream of it. In fact, I bought wood, painted it with matching colour and clamped it to the bottom of the balcony panels so that nothing falls over, namely dog bones & such. I vacuum the carpet, don't sweep it. Point taken though, I'm sure a lot of crap could fall/be tossed over onto terraces in buildings with balconies above.

Aura has some huge terraces on the 14th floor also. They will certainly be susceptible to falling god knows what from above.

I used to live on the 31st floor at 10 Yonge St., right by the lake. I practically lived on the balcony in summer. Fooey on spying eyes and spiders.

Likewise, LOVE my balcony and view. If people desperately want to see what I'm doing on my balcony (which is normally gardening, reading, or socializing) then I don't mind. Go nuts. This is TO after all with eyes everywhere.

Amazing shots of the views from Aura. Wow. Can't imagine how someone could own a terrace unit like those shown above and not be out on it enjoying the amazing view every chance they got. I'm pretty sure that's the reason why they bought them in the first place haha.

p.s. To those people sweeping things off their balcony onto the terrace below and/or flicking cigaratte butts...ya, that's illegal. Whoever is doing that, stop it.

Also am not familiar with the spider reference and how it pertains to these spaces as opposed to any other balcony downtown. I lived in a few high-rises downtown and don't recall ever seeing a spider on my balcony. In fact, anything above the 10th floor precludes the likelihood of many pests, especially the flying kind like mosquitoes (if it's a bad year for them).

You'd be surprised! I live on the 50th floor at ROCP. I don't have a balcony, but I have had rather large spiders, swarms of mosquitoes and lady bugs crawling on the outside of my windows.

When I lived on the 38th floor of Palace Pier there were some pretty large spiders that lived on the outside windows, so I pretty much never opened the slats otherwise they'd crawl in.

You know, in addition to the banks at Aura...it would be nice to have a Smokes Poutinerie. Ideal location.

Smokes could run a successful franchise on the moon if there was a bar nearby. I like their food and their signage and they seem to fit in everywhere.

I live in CP2 and I have the dumbest neighbors on the planet. We have someone on the 30th-ish floor balcony who hoses off their balcony. We (and the concierge) had originally thought a pipe had burst. I have a neighbor who has no idea of what their puppy does in the hallway (take a hint - we don't have news papers out there). I got hit on the Bay Street sidewalk by a lit cigarette thrown off of CP1 (and they post reminder - basically permanent - notices in the elevator to not throw cigarettes off of the balconies).

Yeah - Gerrard and Yonge is going to be an interesting intersection...

such a sweet photo. quite an amazing terrace let along amazing view. and that setback is not even close to the top of the tower. can't imagine how awesome it'll be essentially looking at the tallest buildings in the country at eye level. and from far back from your windows, they'll be right in your face :D

liking Aura more and more.

From inside the building. they just open up the basement.
Only a couple of companies have moved in so far. the food court isn't open yet.

BB&B is really using their window space badly. They have a prime viewing area to catch the attention of shoppers walking by and they are just throwing away that opportunity. I think that's just crazy.

Builder-grade crap everywhere I look. The interiors are just awful.
