Wow… Barton is really the final frontier in Hamilton and possibly the entire Golden Horseshoe. Great to see it.

Has anyone heard any updates on this project? One would think a medical office would still be needed eventually and considering they demolished the buildings years ago, it seems like this might be dead in the water?

They demolished several deeply-affordable housing units + a Hamilton landmark (Kanesky’s Sports & Hockey Store).

Still sitting empty. Attracting unhoused doing illegal activities. Cherry on top, they barely take care of the lot or the surrounding area letting rubble and garbage pile up bringing down the neighborhood. Do better!

I do note on google streetview they have monitoring wells along one side of the property, perhaps there was some contamination issues.
