Did a quick visit today as part of a long walk. The quay certainly is very popular, and has some fantastic views!

The skyline from here seems very empty when you can't see much of the Financial District

Great location for plane-spotting (no, the plane was not landed yet, I snapped the photo just before it reached the runway)

The stone feature also creates a nice barrier between the two sections of the quay, making the plaza area feel nicely enclosed

The 'stone feature' is actually a memorial to the Irish immigrants who died here (in the 1840s) from cholera. See https://www.canadairelandfoundation.com/explore/ireland-park/

Billy Bishop must be the only airport in North America (if not the world) with a waterfront urban plaza at its doorstep (excluding heliports, seaplane ports, etc)
An unexpected pleasure was seeing people enjoying the site while waiting for a plane and looking so relaxed. I always assumed that the airport and this place would create conflict. Taken 20 October.

Taken 22 December. The noticeable progress seems to be the completion of the passage between the silos, lighting work for lighting on the east side, completion of the outdoor area on the north side of The Corleck Centre and work on the glass silo in Ireland Park.
