I guess that will mean that shovels will be hitting the ground soon:cool:

I have a feeling that the basement levels may alredy be complete because as I recall the whole site was under construction when they demolished the concrete stub that was there. They may have left the foundation for this building. Anyone know if that is true.

There is no proof that this will be the same look-a-like as the first phase, rumour had it a couple months ago on UT that this would be a much larger tower

Well considering the specs are in the press release:
will be a 44-storey, 980,000-square-foot office tower... The 51-storey, 1.2-million-square-foot Bay Adelaide Centre West opened in 2009

Don't think it's going to be bigger.

Check out the front page story for more renderings, and the dataBase entry for closer up stuff. I think we have the exclusive on the other renderings.

From the larger renderings it looks like it's not a twin because the indented corners seem to be missing. I guess that was space that could have been leased out! Waste not want not!

This one is less neo FCP and more Southcore.

I've just gotten confirmation from Brookfield that the notched corners are from the earlier renderings, and that the new plan is a simple box.

Literally, that's too bad - it really weakens the symmetry of the design. The fins (what little there is) on the roof seems to be gone too.

They're cutting corners already.

UT needs some recognition for comedic comment of the day, kinda like funny but less relevant photo of the day
