Pretty close to zero.

Cycle Tracks here are contemplated, by cutting Victoria Park Avenue to 1 lane each way plus turning lanes.

The City has been looking more at the section from Crescent Town Road to Danforth in the near term, but it has been shared w/staff that I think going to Gerrard in one motion would make sense.

VP is already one lane each way south of Gerrard and north of VP subway station, so a its a fairly short stretch with the extra lanes, using that space for expanded left turn lanes and/or a right turn lane at Danforth would better serve traffic flow than the current arrangement and provide room for cycle tracks.

There would be a slight pinch at the Danforth intersection, but its workable.
Well, I guess it's good that technically bike lanes could go in here without expensive excavation. Now to make it so! 🤞

Agreed. With approximately 1,000 new units in this development, I'm sure that many more cyclists will want access to Danforth.

Cycling under that bridge is nasty. We go out of our way to avoid it.

While you are pushing for a solution, it would be appreciated if you put in a good word for the Danforth Kingston Complete Street initiative. :)
For sure! I❤🚲 lanes everywhere!

The road east from Victoria Park is well under construction. It's been a traffic mess since they've closed the entrance to the FreshCo plaza for the last week and a bit. Looks like a match for the renderings with Musgrave being extended through the traffic lights and then an entrance to the FreshCo plaza a couple hundred metres to the east of the intersection.

Should help with the daily mess that happens with people lining up for the McDonald's drive thru that block the main "road" access to the rest of the parking.

Big improvement lower right for the trucks accessing FreshCo for deliveries. I foresee people using this as a "short cut" to go from Gerrard westbound to Vic Park northbound.

Not sure when they would add in the road north off of Gerrard and into the new area.

And ending in a cul-de-sac at the tracks. A pedestrian bridge would be welcome here given the amount of trespassing that used to take place to cut across the tracks.

Excellent update @JamesKoole. I hope they put in new sidewallks along the new road, on the Freshco side, in this phase.

There has never been a proper pedestrian path from the Freshco to VP and it has always led to people walking within the driveway (car lanes). Not a pleasant/safe experience for anyone!

The condo site hasn't changed since last year. Are completing the road a requirement before they can proceed with construction?

I'm aware of that. They have been pushing dirt around for a couple of years now and those wells for remediation or geothermal or both went in over a year ago. I'm referring to the shoring and excavation for the underground parkade of the first block that was completed more than 6 months ago and has been quiet since.

I meant to mention here, though I didn't get pics, they did complete a new multi-use trail (3M wide asphalt) on the south side of the new road that's been built here, just as far as the driveway to the plaza parking lot) Its odd to me they didn't do sidewalk, but I'll take it. Its a real safety improvement.

Does anyone know what is happening here? It seems like nothing happened in the past few months

Since you asked........... I took a peek..........

They only just got their permits for the first building in October:

Oddly, I can't find a valid Drain and Site Service Permit, which would be a bit late at this point...... maybe I just missed it, each block of townhouses has its own permit set, so its a lot to take in.

They do not have valid permits yet for New Building, or Mechanical, a slew of plumbing permits for the townhomes seem to be ready (issuance pending) which tends to mean 'awaiting payment'.
