it's not bad. once trees go up and patio tables and umbrellas, it'll look a lot more attractive at street level.

Signage is up, and the big, vertical podium windows look *very* good.

Agreed: I love those protruding frame windows! Looking forward to seeing this integrated into the street with landscaping, finishing touches.

Ouch.

This building goes from bad to worse! I never noticed how miss-matched that ugly, grey cladding is but that's probably because I try to avoid looking at it. Ouch indeed!

This is really inexcusable. Is there no enforcement of standards? Are there standards? I feel like our city's being abused to make a quick buck and no one's lifting a finger in its defence.

Is that grey cladding thin aluminium? It looks so bad, uneven colouring and not at all smooth with many ripples, not a good look.

^^I don't even like the sign above the entrance. The "heritage" component is nothing more than tokenism. Another grey window wall / spandrel dud.

I'll gladly take that brand of tokenism over a repetition of most of the rest of the god-awful tower.
