One thing we've learned from the docs is that we were wrong about the crimped look only coming from the size of the perforations in the aluminum balcony guards: in fact, the floor plate does project in an alternating pattern on every second floor. It should give the building quite an appealing textural quality!

I like the brick and I love the balcony projections! I think this may turn out to be the nicest building yet. (Though I wonder what we'll think of all these buildings with wide, uninterrupted massing and retail behind undifferentiated expanses of glass in 40 years...)

For me, the George Brown Residence will always have that title in this neighbourhood. The massing and mixed-use nature is far more interesting. (And a notable investment into some great glazing.)

Actually, you're right. I should have said "best of the condo buildings".

Coming to this site, Vet services:

I’m pretty sure it’s already open and accepting new patients. Great service to have in an area full of animals!

I’ll also mention that Canary Dental on Front is great. Once the grocery store and a LCBO (I pray to the liquor gods) go in, every basic service will be within a short walking distance.
