Carding House, AKA "North Preserve, Block 300": a proposed 5-storey mixed-use condo & commercial building and 3 & 3-storey townhouse blocks designed by Q4 Architects for Mattamy Homes on the northwest corner of Carding Mill Trail and North Park Boulevard, south of Ironside Drive in Oakville's Preserve neighbourhood.

Interesting neighbourhood. Instead of strip malls on Dundas they scattered small scale retail into the neighbourhood. Old school urbanism. I like.

Not part of this project but nearby.

Yeah a lot of the North Oakville commercial is mixed use instead of strip plazas.

Also, @Paclo, looks like the crane is down for this one.

The bar for urbanism tends to be quite low in the 905, but Oakville is quietly pulling far ahead from of its peers. Some of these streets are precisely what people here have called for for decades with density, a mix of uses, a mix of building styles, and landscaping.

I mean at what density does it stop being "sprawl"? It's mixed-use 5-storey apartment block surrounded by townhouses. How is that sprawling?
The location of it is pretty remote though, its far from any GO Station, public highway, or even good transit service for that matter.
