Briefly in downtown St. Catharines and saw the progress on this highrise.

The only thing I like about this project is the density/height it will bring to downtown St. Catharines. The clock looks ridiculous and the rendering even has a spelling error.

Too bad the owner is a notorious slumlord treating Brock University student tenants terribly. I recall a couple of students had their refrigerator breakdown and the owner wouldn't budge until the students contacted the city and the city of St. Catharines told the owner he legally had to provide the student tenants with a working refrigerator so they finally got a new one.

It makes its presence known driving on the 406, or Westchester Ave. Looks even taller from the 406 because St. Paul St. is built up higher than the highway which is built in the 12 mile creek valley

If anyone's in St Kitts this summer, it would be great to get an update on this site!

It’s interesting to see a steel-framed residential high-rise building going up. Steel-framed residential towers are quite rare in the region.
