Taken 2 weeks ago, Saturday 10th April 2010--finally have time to upload the blurry image I took of the crane being taken down, for those geeks that give a ****

Yeah, unlike 90% of y'all, I actually take photos of this city!

UrbanToronto dropped in to see the Churchill Park Condos today, and we gotta say that the units are pretty spectacular. We'll have a report coming up on them in the next week, but for now, get a load of the views from here. It's interesting in every direction, but gazing over downtown?

Wow!

...and here's the view to the southwest.

I'd love to see an aA interpretation of those two beautiful apartment buildings next door to this blah project! Two to four in a row along the Waterfront would look spectacular.

The real problem with this location is you still gotta cross St Clair and walk to the village proper--a tower on the Loblaws site may be ideally located.

Time for a look over this building.

... and the late March reality.

Inside the front doors is an elegant two-storey lobby.

Amenities including a party lounge, private dining room, a full caterer’s sized kitchen for entertaining, a meeting room and a guest suite are still being furnished, but we did take a peak in the fitness centre which recently took delivery of its equipment.

So, we'll head up to the top...

... and in. We're still looking outside though: the views here are hard to resist.

While a number of suites are now lived in, finishing work is ongoing on the upper levels. Some of the views from this penthouse unit look across to the 1966-built Tower Hill East building, still an International Style standout 45 years later. The Tower Hill buildings were built by the grandfather of Russell Masters, current Vice-President at Tower Hill Development Corporation, and the Tower Hill East rental building is still owned by the family firm.

There are two model suites available to view in the building, decorated by Byron Patton and Associates. Patton's decoration of the two suites springs from colour palettes created by Katherine Newman, the building's interior designer. With only 45 units in the 14-storey building, only 20% remain for sale. The units are spacious, never more than 4 to a floor, and they take good advantage of the views provided by the oval envelope of the exterior walls.

Some views of the two bedroom and den model suite on the 8th floor.

Yvonne Peterson of Sotheby's Realty and Russell Masters of Tower Hill Development Corporation were our genial hosts for the tour.
