Glass installation starts in December. The second floor of the bus portion appears to be a concrete pour with the remaining 4 or so storeys steel. Also, hard to tell however from a animation I saw of the tower being constructed it appears the second tower starts construction before the first one is done. suggesting the bus terminal may start operation before there finished the first tower however no confirmation (I may be able to get that info at a later date). CIBC will cut its building count from 22 to 10... although dont know which 8 they will be keeping.
As noted above, GO are planning to move the bus station in early 2020 (I think they talk of March) which would seem to be well before Tower 1 is completed.

I’m assuming they are laying the elevator floor lobbies and the floor anchors on the outside wall from the catwalks. I wouldn’t want that job.

Fall Friday

Westside Story: Another lift and a little more UP. The main entry for the Bay St. parking is being formed for its concrete top, the steel beam rising through the ramp is now more apparent. They are removing rounded cleats along the core walls that were holding up the jump jack rig, and are replacing them with rectangular cleats which may be anchors for the steel structural floor beams. My view inside the core work area is lost.

Eastside Story: More north wall and more east wall is being formed and poured. Most of the circular concrete columns have been exposed, and some circular concrete columns encasing the steel beams are also exposed

Trackside: Some steel work has been filling in the sections of the north/south facing structural steel for the elevated park. mburrrrr New Member in the previous post gets a much better shot of this area so I'm hoping mburrrrr New Member will continue with photos from their perspective.

That wall will be the same height as the one beside it... and it does appear they'll be doing a concrete pour for the second floor of the lower structure.

Pre-Haitus Friday: Note: I'm off to Italy for the next few weeks and can't imagine what I'll be looking up to when I return

Westside Story: There wasn't a 'jump-up' this week. At ground level they are pouring the roof to the entry/exit ramp to P1 parking. Along the east wall of the core, you may notice some forming is being laid for the L2 level of the bus depot.

Closer look at the top of the core reveals a new buddy for Elliott the crane, who surprisingly is also called Elliot. The top of the core platform is now at my eye level which means the height is +/- 250' above street level. We've had to install blackout draperies along all of our the north facing windows because the 24 hour flood lighting from the core and cranes makes living on a day/night schedule almost impossible

Eastside Story:

Along the east side of the core they have abandoned the exterior stairs. When ever it gets this cluttered, with equipment and supplies, there is generally a push to move forward to the next level. Some work has been completed along the north wall near 18 Yonge St.

Closer look at the north wall details the forming work on the crash wall which will also support the elevated park.

This is the best development going up right now, viz. the construction logistics. The Well is a very close second. But this one is just flying.

Yeah .... you see the pictures every day - but when you get up close - it's a monster
