Wow im glad I took photos two days ago of the terminal. They are acting real fast!

"The passenger pick-up/drop-off area is located underground on P1 and has elevator access to the terminal. "

Whoa a passenger pick up. I'd like to see that.

Today. Some pics of the new bus terminal to add to Skycandy’s shots

The 2nd floor waiting area (first floor looks pretty much the same)

There’s escalators behind that entrance. Not sure if these lead to the sky park.

Looks like they’re keeping the square/diamond logo for the building itself. I’m glad not to see the red and yellow CIBC swish anywhere in the building and looking forward to the new CIBC logo going up on the tower.

With the old bus station now decommissioned, how quickly will we see excavation start on the second set of towers?

What is it that's so complicated about elevators? They never seem ready when government projects like this open? Surely the timeline and install could be adjusted to have them working upon opening.

To which ever gods out there are listening: Please allow the governments to roll out the vaccination in short order soon, so I can go down and visit this station myself in person with COVID 19 impunity....

The elevators not in service had nothing to do with whether it was a government/private build. The South elevators that serviced Levels 1 and 2 of the Bus facility were fully operational and approved through the TSSA. The North elevators that were not in service was not due to the fact at they were inoperable, but in fact were ready, serviced other parts of the building that were not yet complete and ready to be accessed to the public, i.e underground parking. They had to be locked out to ensure the public was not in danger of entering spaces that are still deemed a "construction" area.

Thanks. So in other areas like several go projects and stations, most recently Kipling station. Any idea what common challenges elevators present? Is it the certification process ?
