Why spring for well-considered architecture when you can just do a gigantic maple leaf graphic (read: gimmick)?

What's unfortunate is how many people will actually see it as an acceptable substitute for great architecture. I can already picture the posts in here that will say "wow, it actually makes a really nice statement from the water" or "tourists will get a strong, urban impression of Canada from this!" -__-
