The ongoing work on the NE corner has been a nuisance for a while....

My thought - this has to be one of the most charitable understatements on Urbantoronto in a very long time (i.e. comparable, if not more so, to how long the work on the north-east corner of Yonge and Eglinton has been going on....)

Oh I am being modest. The overall design of that "plaza" is rather poorly done, so with a smaller footprint to move around thanks to the sidewalks being closed off before and now to an extent, its become much more clear how frustrating the NE corner is for circulation and functionality as a whole.

Hey guys, does anyone know are there any plans (whenever) to remove ugly streetcar wire-lines and replace them with batteries? Just wondering

The public realm looks so cheap and austere that I hope it isn't the final product.
This is Toronto - cheap and austere is what we do best. Then we dig it up to upgrade some utility and patch with ‘temporary’ asphalt.

Are there any rumours about this line ever opening or are we more or less done now that the intersection has been (mostly) finished?
Thy are training the drivers of trains now and working out final bugs for operations. It's very, very close - likely early 2025. We are supposed to be told 3 months out by Metrolinx, so it's at least 3 months out still.. but i can't imagine it's too much further than 3 months out at this point.
