The city should create some standards for the locations of hydro and gas metres, as well as air conditioning units. It detracts from the public realm to install them so prominently along street frontages.

It's addressed in various Guideline documents, but the real challenge is getting Toronto Hydro to agree to any sort of 'non-traditional' location or access arrangement.
