It's a bit of organized chaos with both sidewalks closed and people unsure of how to get into the Eaton Centre. There are CF info people on both the Bay and Yonge sides directing people. The mall seems unusually slow for a Saturday. But I guess they were expecting this.

I wish it was bronze or some other colour than GREY. The design is gorgeous though, no complaints there.

We are GREY CITY, what else do you expect?
It is bronze - there is a coating on most of the cladding which hasn't been removed - plus it is hard to show anything but dark grey in that backlight shot.

Good substitute for the open backdrop looking west on Queen st.

I like the bridge, but while stuck at a red light last week, I thought the open view was quite nice as well. I never saw it until the bridge came down.

Something else caught my eye. The new glass panels on the Queen Street entrance facade are much larger than the original ones. The new mullions are black vs the grey that was there. Compare the old narrow panes of glass with grey mullions above the bridge to the ones just installed at the patio next to it.

The glass also appears to be less reflective. Fewer mullions, larger panes and more transparency is going to look quite nice from Queen Street. You might even be able to see the atrium geese from the outside.
