One of the things I love about GTA's skyline is that its very spread out with lots of clusters of high rises. You don't see this in North America where all the tall buildings are in one area.Which is amazing if you consider that most North Americans have probably never heard of Mississauga before. I noticed that in most videos discussing skylines in North America, when Toronto is mentioned, it is restricted to solely the downtown core and I always wonder when the suburban skylines would be either included in that overview or added as additional items.
One anecdote I can give: in 2016 I was on a flight from Edmonton to Toronto and as we were landing a man and his young son/nephew next to me were looking out the window at the Mississauga skyline and the man said "Look [insert child's name], we're over downtown Toronto... but, I can't find the CN Tower though?!"
This is more similar to Asian cities where they have multiple nodes of high rises.
In 20 years, my ranking of the best skyline in North America
1 - New York
2 - Toronto
3 - Chicago
4 - Miami
5 - Houston
6 - Los Angeles
7 - San Francisco
8 - Seattle
9 - Calgary
10 - Mississauga
