There is a construction office on the floor above where the Fashion House sales centre is, but I think the hard hats you are referring to are working on other Freed projects for the time being.

I didn't see it mentioned earlier in the posts, but recently found out a rather large piece of news and I wonder how happy the glitterati buyers of Fashion House condos are going to be when they find out that a gargantuan flagship KEG is going to occupy the entire bottom floor facing King West. This news is officially the end of cooldom for the area.

The historic building now being used as a sales centre was intended to become a restaurant. It would make sense that that's where the KEG is going, rather than the base of the condo.

It royally sucks that a Firkin bar is moving into the neighbourhood, and now a KEG. :(

What's next, an Olive Garden? I hope Bier Markt cleans the floor with them.

King St W hasn't been cool in years. It's become a yuppie residential area.

The cool people have moved to Parkdale, Blansdowne, Dundas West and the Junction. Basically, any neighbourhood that doesn't have any or hardly any new condos under construction is "cool." :D

I'd rather live with "yuppies" than hipsters any day. However, that's a whole different topic.
