With the right cladding I think the tower on the right (East site) could turn out quite nice. I still don't get the larger tower on the left.

The tower on the right is the more 'expected' (reminiscent of 8 Spruce in NYC) whereas the tower on the left looks to be something distinctively new... at least to my amateur eyes!!
 
Is that a newly-added third tower to the left or is it part of (in relief of) the overall design of the taller left tower??
 
Becoming more and more impressive to my eyes. Boring is definitely one adjective that does not apply.

Ya in trying to wrap my head around what type of material/cladding they are gonna use for the main body of the taller tower. The photo is just of a model so it's hard to base any judgement of it. I think it would be cool if they could use some crazy cladding like the one on the ryerson student centre.
 
It looks like such a radical departure from the norm in this city that it'll be the New City Hall of our time.
