There doesn’t seem to be a thread for the soon to be re-open (July 5 @ 12:30 0- only first 3 floors) North York Central Library. Since GibsonSquare has direct connection to North York City Center (where library is located), I’ll dump some recent progress photos here,..... only first floor which now serves as Kids community area with Transportation/Urban theme,.... ah man, I wish I was a kid again!

The Boston Pizza has been closed for two months now. At first there was a computer printed sign saying there was a major equipment failure. Then a few days later they put up an official Boston Pizza notice saying they are closed temporarily in order to improve customer experience or something like that. And if you go to Boston Pizza's website, it says this location is closed for renovations. They even kept the TVs running 24/7 until just recently. Seems like something fishy is going on here.

Huh? The Boston Pizza restaurant only opened 2 years ago,.... why would they need renovation?!? So far, I don't see any recent Dine Safe issues or building permit here. Yelp says they'll reopen May 31; lots of bad reviews, so hopefully they're retraining staff!

With Beacon finishing up, I was wondering about the status of the underground tunnel between Gibson Square and Beacon to the north - right under the east-west driveway between the two buildings.

Here's an old P1 plan from Solaris showing the underground pedestrian path in red through the P1 parking level (parking layout have changed a bit)

Image exiting underground pedestrian tunnel between North York City Centre and Gibson Square looking north into GibsonSquare P1 Parking Level,.... notice the illuminated white wall at the far (north end),... there's a double door nearby (to the right - east) for the pedestrian tunnel to Beacon!

Peaking through this double fire door I see,.... the pedestrian tunnel to Beacon,... which will connect to EllieCondo via knockdown wall,.... looks like they just finished spackling/painting the ceiling white - masking tape and blast heater (on floor) going to dry the paint,... notice the stairs; likely have ramp or elevator to right (seems to be space),....

It seems the shell for this pedestrian tunnel was already built probably around 2013 during GibsonSquare construction since they built the east-west driveway above it around 2014
