I like the thicker white framing and overall clean look. That's better than we can usually expect and above what I was expecting. Unfortunately, the design is still tacky.

Yes, the alternating banding would be better off not there...but all in all, it could have been so much worse.

Yeah, It creates an obvious, overly simple pattern slapped onto the side of a rectangular building. That can sometimes work successfully even if it is just a cheap thrill. In this case, it just looks like a 500 foot tall, inspired, Egyptian Hieroglyphs

What a shame that the darker glazed areas that are subtracted from the grid motif could not have been inset even just 300mm. It just reads so flat that it appears much cheaper and lazier, and reveals the grid to be little more than an applied "graphic" on the facade.
