Condos in Highland Commons’ first building go on sale this month, with the second one to follow early next year. Altree aims to start construction in the summer of fall of 2022 and is targeting first occupancy in the spring of 2025.

While better than some of the bath tubs we've seen; and even rather pretty should the project come out like the render...........this is not worth building as a swimming pool. Too small for swimming. That might be two strokes of a front crawl before you bump your head on the other side (in the lengthways direction).

If you just want a pretty oasis, build a one-foot deep bubbling fountain feature and call it a day. Nothing wrong w/that.

If you want a swimming pool, they start at 25M long, and have at least a 1M diving board. and accordingly a peak depth of 10ft. Just sayin.

On a related note, .....developers: Bathtubs are all soakers, and are at least 6 feet long, and have jets so that they can fill in under 5 minutes; anything else is an oversized bucket.
 

The team has applied for a building permit and the site plan is being dealt with by the city. The client is mobilizing for construction which will begin as soon as the permit is received. Building A is sold out and Building B is expected to go on the market this month.

The rezoning of the building was recently approved.

“We were able to add a couple of storeys to the building and show that this didn’t really have any detrimental shadow impact on the surrounding neighbourhood,” the lead architect explained. “As you look at the façade there are a variety of different treatments, different colours and different patterns to try and reduce the scale of the project.”
 
New renderings are updated in the database. The project information also has been changed. The total unit count dropped from 549 units to 539 units. The overall building heights for both buildings increased from 32.00m to 32.50m. Finally, the total parking space count was reduced from 521 parking to 514 parking.

The renderings are taken from the architectural plan via Site Plan Approval!
