New 6-storey Home2Suites hotel up by the Hamilton airport. This is the first real "airport hotel" to appear in Hamilton.

Hamilton, which has long had a dearth of hotel rooms in the City, is on a streak of hotel proposals. this one is just a standard suburban hotel model so nothing too exciting..

I guess it could be as it's still pretty close, but it's still a 4 kilometre drive from the airport terminal.

This is walking distance from the airport however (though no sidewalks of course so that won't be happening for guests) and not on a major street - which makes it much more clearly intended as an airport hotel.
 
Another small win for YHM. Location is definitely unusual compared to most airport hotels, but hopefully this will attract some more hotels to the area. I can see this being fully booked most nights with the amount of early morning flights, particularly through the winter.
 
They have submitted the Site Plan Application here (DA-23-075):

Reduced to 4-storeys (previously 6)
Total hotel suites reduced to 94 (previously 97)
