This project has turn out to be a nice design and addition to the area. More photos up on the site.

This does look nice. A good example of why we should hold off on criticism until we see the finished product.

I'd like to see another project try this approach but put a few luxury townhomes in the mansion and move the amenities to the tower.

I still think it looks ugly. The black cladding/spandrel just doesn't do it for me. It looks good at street level though so I guess we agree there.

i wish Tridel hadn't bricked up some of the windows in the mansion, and wish they continued the brick to the 3rd level for the TH for better continuity and look throughout.

I like it too, though I still prefer the north side better.

Tridel didn't brick up any windows, that was done long ago.

I agree... some really nice attention to detail at ground level with the landscaping, fencing, little arch over the rear walkway and of course the art component.

Belinda the Intern took lots of great shots on June 1. Check the photo gallery on Facebook for 60 new pics.

I went to the Bank of Montreal at Dufferin St and Supertest Rd, and was surprised to find this model on display. It's in pretty rough shape, with many balconies broken and pieces missing, including the mansion itself. I'm not entirely sure how the model ended up there, but the fact that Tridel occupies much of the bank's building may have something to do with it.
