The bank of the Humber here is quite high and very steep here, almost a cliff, and I cannot see the TRCA allowing the construction of a path or stairs on the near vertical ravine face. I don't believe they build stairs anymore either unless they can also provide an accessibility ramp as well. To get down into the valley here, residents will have to go a block or two east on Dundas to access it from the existing road or path on the west or east sides of the river.

We've got a rather beautiful new context rendering for the building from the east now. The ULI Humber Trail bike tour from two weekends ago cross the river on that bridge seen in the shadows near the bottom right. As I note above, a new access would be difficult to build from the new park just north of the condo down to the trail as the valley walls are quite steep here… but it would be nice to have one.

Update:
With an Official Plan Amendment (OPA) and rezoning application first submitted to Toronto's Planning Department in 2014, plans for the redevelopment of a commercial site at 4210 Dundas St West have advanced with a new Site Plan Application (SPA) for a second phase at the site, being marketed as Kingsway by the River by Urban Capital Property Group and Northam Realty Advisors. Designed by Wallman Architects, the new community will add 413 residential unit in residential buildings of 21 and 8 storeys tall, plus two sets of stacked townhomes.

Note to TTC.

Time for a return of the 66 Prince Edward bus NORTH of Bloor Street West. See http://transit.toronto.on.c... ...

February 18th, 1996

As part of a series of system-wide service cuts resulting from the elimination of provincial public transit subsidies, all service on Prince Edward Drive north of Bloor Street discontinued. Service south of Bloor Street is discontinued after 10:00 p.m. on weekends and holidays.

Weekend and holiday late evening service is restored."
Still waiting for the restoration north of Bloor. Maybe when the province returns to subsidizing the operational budgets of transit agencies.

In the window—what was to be a seniors building is now going to be the "condominium loft" building as per @PMT's post above. Seniors buildings must not be selling well yet (despite the aging of the baby boomers)—

At the back of the site, the ROMA is clearing out their merchandise. This place has a nicely grungy built-over-time feel to it which will disappear—
