There need not be retail everywhere. A stretch like this runs the risk of being another Toronto classic of empty storefronts on new midrise building in residential neighbourhood. So long as the Dundas frontage is attractive and walkable, I am happy.
 
In terms of location it's adequate, but still pretty ho-hum. Just standard mid-burb fare.

I see they finally got around to covering the ugly exposed concrete below the natural stone walls.
