Does anyone else notice the vertical alignment (or lack of alignment) on the corner of the window wall in the last picture??!!!

That happens with window wall, because of the way it is constructed and because of the need for room for expansion and contraction. Luckily it's not very noticeable most of the time.

I think L tower break the record about long standing unused crane even though the biulding was tops off long time ago

And it will remain there "through the summer", per the last update from the developer:
  • REMINDER: The L Tower crane remains in place to facilitate the lift and placement of the rooftop window washing crane assembly and will remain up through the summer.

The crane remaining in place until the end of the summer (meaning, remaining in place until next year.....) is sooooooo weird. Major W T F moment. Anyway, I hope the people who bought units 'affected' by the crane have been compensated accordingly. So, basically, the developer 'forgot' to figure out how to wash the windows on this curvy building, now the problem is going to be passed on to the owners of the units. The Mirvish / Gehry buildings better take note .... design something so weird that the window washers don't want to have anything to do with the place, meaning muddy windows for years. The buildings might attract quite a few ooooo's and awwwwww's from people into architectural porn, but muddy/leaky windows on bizarrely-designed towers is what you get.

The Crane Saga is really VERY weird as the date was first last fall (or earlier?) and now (maybe) this fall. Did someone forget to order the window-washing equipment? Has it actually been ordered now or is the plan to suspend the window-washing guys FROM the crane? Crane rental is not cheap so this delay is certainly costing lots of $$ and I assume they are having to pay a street-occupancy fee to the City too as the base occupies sidewalk on The Esplanade . I also note that the glass (?) panels going into the sidewalk overhangs on Yonge and The Esplanade are still not installed and they have STILL not finished off the new sidewalk on Yonge and continue to block a traffic lane. None of this makes the developer look too good! Caveat Emptor!
